My Legacy
Helping people learn how to learn - and how to live
It was only after reaching sixty that I began to understand clearly what I now wish education had helped me learn much earlier: how to live.
Much of the education I encountered prepared me to perform, qualify and earn. Those capabilities mattered. Yet I still had to struggle with questions about myself, relationships, expectations, choices and the consequences of my own thinking.
In my opinion, education should help us prepare for these aspects of life too.
The legacy I wish to leave is my learning from life, made available for others to examine and use. Through this website, I hope to help people learn how to learn, understand their own circumstances, and consciously shape a life guided by Peace, Happiness, Quality of Life and Longevity.
They may choose a different path from mine. What matters to me is that they develop the understanding and capability to choose—and to put their choices into practice.
I am still working on that in my own life. These pages will preserve both what I have come to understand and what happens as I endeavour to live by it.
My Legacy — Learning How to Live
The learning I hope to leave behind: an invitation to understand life, develop judgement, and put that understanding into practice. These reflections explore education as preparation for living, alongside earning a livelihood.
